I moved to Cary in 1987 from Dallas, Texas. I was born in Michigan and graduated with a BS Marketing Degree in 1981 from Ferris State University. I enjoyed retail management in Michigan and eventually secured a position with Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas in 1984.
After moving to Cary in 1987, I earned my real estate license and have enjoyed real estate sales with Hunt Properties, Adams Built, Howard Perry and Walston, York Simpson and Underwood, other local builder/developers and Re/Max United.
Through the years, I have been focused on continued education and have earned several designations including my GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute...18% of agents have this). The CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist...11% of agents have this) is a time-consuming track of courses and exams and I completed it in record time!
In addition, I have an ABR designation (Accredited Buyer Representative...15% of agents have this), and have secured an SRES designation (Seniors Real Estate Specialist...about 5% of agents offer this).
I have extensive background in construction, new homes,and marketing and have earned my CMP designation (Certified Marketing Professional...about 1% of agents have this) and I was the first agent in the Triangle to receive this designation! I also hold a CSP designation (Certified New Home Site Professional...about 1% of agents offer this).
I maintain real estate affiliations with the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, The North Carolina Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Realtor Political Action Committee.

Beth and I are licensed NC Real Estate Brokers and have worked together in this market for over 20 years and have strived to be the best in the industry. I have the same hard-earned designations that Beth has outlined including a coveted MIRM designation (Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing...about 1% of agents have this). As a team, we have too many sales awards to count including the Re/Max Platinum Team Award and the prestigious Re/Max Hall of Fame Team.
But, it is the satisfaction that people have when they successfully close on a beautiful new home that makes it all worth while! My father was a builder in Michigan and my grandfather developed neighborhoods. I literally started in the business at age 5 sweeping out new homes and, growing a bit older, spent time with the trim carpenters, electricians, framers and other trades. This knowledge is invaluable to our clients in both new construction and the resale markets.
I love North Carolina because of the weather, the geographic distance to mountains and the beach. From here you can easily get to Washington DC, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond, Nashville, Lexington, Atlanta, Savannah, Myrtle Beach, and Pinehurst. There are countless beaches along the coasts of North and South Carolina. And, the Blueridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley beg to be explored in the Fall!
But the best part is the people.... They come from all over and make this home.
